For centuries, mobility and automation have been reliant on 3 technologies, the belt drive, roller chain, and gear drive, and they all transfer energy on 1 side of the gear tooth through Single Engagement leading to decreases in efficiency, lifetime, and miniaturization of mobility and automation products.
New Motion Labs has developed a technology called Dual Engagement, which transfers energy on both sides of the gear tooth. This will enable a new age in mechanical mobility and automation products leading to 25% more torque to be transferred at unparalleled levels of efficiency and lifetime.
New Motion Labs licenses intellectual property of fundamental mobility and automation technologies, they sell licenses to mechanical drive manufacturers and mobility and automation OEM’s. The international market for mechanical power transmission equipment manufacturing market is forecasted to reach $99.12 Bn by 2022 with a CAGR of 8.9% whilst the market for e-bike drive systems, a particular target OEM area is expected to reach $5.6 Bn by 2024 with a CAGR of 12%.
New Motion Labs won the 2019 UK Techplanter Award, one of the Top 50 global startups by Hello Tomorrow, and graduated from the 2020 Plug and Play Startup Autobahn Program. We have also been awarded grants by the Advanced Propulsion Centre and won an Innovate Smart Grant, which had a 2% success rate.
